Not trying to derail the thread, but, why does everyone claim XS is so easy, even a caveman could use it?
If this isn't the most incomplete major piece of software I know of.....

@scottalanmiller So should I destroy this SR and try to create it as EXT3? and if I do can I migrate a thick provision vm over to a thin provisioned host?
Migration should be fine, but I've not done it. Should you be ext3? That's up to you
There's obviously not much choice if one desires Thin prov.?
Need to run a "cloud" VM (o/s 2012 R2 w RDS)
What is the preferred cloud service? (see image
@olivier
Great news. This product keeps getting better!
File level restore, hyperconverged architecture......
Per @scottalanmiller imagine if you could also manage Hyper-V in that same console?
I used this model on plenty of my jobs, works perfect.

I installed a few incorrect GBIC SFP modules.
All is now good.
Lesson for next time: It pays to pay attention.
You don't need an RCA splitter (thats just silly).
Get a set of RCA cable (Red & White, Yellow is composite video - which you don't need) long enough to go from the projector to your amplifier location.
You need an amplifier, a 2 channel amp will easily drive 4x 8 ohm speakers (2 per channel)

Is there a good reason why I would not run this via VPS hosting? eg, A2 Hosting offers this via softaculous installs
Speed is a GREAT reason...
I uploaded 2 mp4 files ( 74 & 196 MB)
Vultr upload took 10 secs.
A2 upload took over 7 mins
I posted this on the Proxmox forums https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/install-connectx-3-on-proxmox-v5-x.34456/
Playing around with Proxmox v5.x & I need to install a ConnectX-3 NIC.
The driver on the Mellanox site is only good for Debian 8.3.
How can I work around this?
Step-by-step install guide, anyone??
btw, I'd be willing to contribute a few $$ to these guides that folks produce, I don't think the hard work put in should be free.

ok wow their guide sucked..
I just ran this install and figured the pieces out.
Installed, I assume on Fedora 25?
yes, he did Fed 25
Yeah, take that @DustinB3403 j/k!
Fed 25, my "new" fav o/s.
These days, can we even call them o/s's, they do so much more!
My MBP is a 2015 model, 15" Retina
I chose the Cinnamon desktop edition.
Boot from USB: I used Fedora Media Writer for Windows
Post-install updates: https://mangolassi.it/topic/13719/bringing-up-a-win10-vm-on-fedora-25-cinnamon-desktop
wi-Fi: I used Enabling an Apple MBP Wireless Adapter w Fedora 25
Issues to fix: Sleep mode when the lid is closed

You mean load a single (or multiple) checks in laser printer & then print?
Yes, either blank check stock or preprinted stock.
I use Xero, you can definitely print checks.
@DustinB3403 Why are you calling it a "hub"?
According to @KOOLER this will support KVM

@dustinb3403 said in Manage KVM through Cockpit:
Here specifically shows a VM management page, how did they get to this?
Thanks for this thread, I hadn't even noticed that option in Cockpit.
You'll need to install the cockpit-machines package "dnf install cockpit-machines"
I also upgraded Cockpit to v149 https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/g/cockpit/cockpit-preview/
Don't forget to enable this repo "dnf copr enable @cockpit/cockpit-preview"
**reference: see bottom of the page: https://github.com/cockpit-project/cockpit/pull/4434
"@igorSmirnovPlexi ,
Are 'machines' listed in the main cockpit menu (left-most column)?
Do you have 'cockpit-machines' package installed? (rpm -qa|grep cockpit-machines)"
***edit:
After all the above was done, I ran "dnf upgrade" & 4 more packages were upgraded:
cockpit-dashboard
cockpit-docker
cockpit-networkmanager
cockpit-storaged
Solved
I posted this on https://www.redhat.com/archives/virt-tools-list/2017-August/msg00210.html
Laszlo Ersek posted the solution: https://www.redhat.com/archives/virt-tools-list/2017-August/msg00244.html
It can be mitigated manually: when the VM boots, interrupt it at the
TianoCore splash screen. In the setup utility, navigate to:
Boot Maintenance Manager
Boot Options
Add Boot Option
In the file chooser, select
<whatever device you have>/EFI/fedora/shim.efi
and enter a description (name) for the boot option.
Then,
Boot Maintenance Manager
Boot Options
Change Boot Order
and move the new boot option to the top of the list.
After you commit the changes, you can forcibly reset the VM, or else
return to the setup TUI front page, and select Reset there.

Yes @scottalanmiller I copied/pasted the contents of ssl.conf & saved it as redis.conf !!
After a few days, Fedora 27 is running nice & smooth...no crashes yet.
Everything I used on F26 is working fine.
There have been a few F27 updates.
Gnome is now v3.26.1
Kernel is 4.13.9-300
Firefox is Quantum v57.0b11
