The one's I initially think of are planning networking for WAN, LAN, wireless and phones. Also server, workstation and processing equipment planning. Access control and cameras.

An avoidance of stairs and or safety harnesses to get to the networking/server room.

You never want to have to lug equipment up flights of stairs or use a scissor lift to get to the equipment installation/service location.

Legit issue I had to deal with years ago...

Not odd, the entire industry has known for decades that you send people home to work, you bring them to the office for politics and to serve the egos of managers. Nearly everyone is way more productive at home. That's why nearly all good companies don't just allow it, they encourage it.

as that may be true: i was saying odd because of hours and how I have to put less hours on my time card because I worked from home.

I can only put what "work I did" so basically Billable hours only.

That's not how employment law works. . . you're there and willing and able to work. It's your bosses fault for not having things for you to do.

Get a DUAL Wan capable firewall, set it up either as Active/Active or Active/Backup.

You'll be banging your head sorting out getting a fault tolerant static IP address, though it can be done.

So here I'm just pulling in a topic I've started on SW.

To sum it up I need some more selling points as to why we as a business should expand our currently free version of XenServer rather than trying to adopt yet another Hypervisor being proposed by our MSP.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately I don't know what the MSP has provided or offered, I was simply told that "they / we" will be virtualizing all of our critical servers to ESXi (of which I later found out the proposed version was Essentials). When I heard this I had a real serious discussion with my boss about not incorporating yet another Hypervisor. Our MSP has already setup Hyper-V which is only running 2 VM's on our 2nd DC, and they run like shit. I don't want them creating and building a solution that will result in more of this.

This is becoming tiresome to keep hearing about time and again. Being as big as these companies are, and more so that Experian a credit agency can't secure their systems is just insane. And to top it off as a 'forgive me plea' their offering 2 years "Credit Monitoring and Identity Resolution services". Which if you add that on-top of recent BlueCross Blue Shield data breach affecting 10 Million it's a complete pissing pot for the consumers.

Like what the hell, 15 million people for T-Mobile but that entire agency (Experian) has data on everyone who's ever even considered a credit card. Seriously we need to start lining up the people who refuse to security check and update their systems on a schedule and just waterboard them.

The firm said there "is no evidence that the data has been used inappropriately".

How the hell could they possibly know?!
