RE: Newbies, love 'em or hate 'em they are the next gen...
No offense, but never really saw "medical grade" PCs in these places. Not really a hospital, but I did manage a 3 site assisted living facility and there was nothing fancy like that.

F yeah.

RE: Learn Veeam, get certified, FREE.
Yeah I saw that before. The cert part is not terribly complex. The videos and the Friday sessions (along with playing) was how I learned the product.

RE: Chopping off their own feet....
There is something different at SW. As to the moderation stuff, I dropped being a mod primarily because I was tired of hearing so many people bitch about it. Like others, I just enjoy helping others. I do miss some of the powers though when I see a post in the wrong forum. It is going to be interesting this coming Spiceworld. Might be my last, but we'll have to see.

RE: IE zero-day Fix
I just kicked off a manual sync and it sees it, but is taking a bit to download all of them right now.

RE: New batteries for UPS - Factory or secondary manufacture
I have done both, but to be honest, I'm a bit lazy. While BTI is cheaper, the don't offer free return shipping for recycling like APC does. You can pay for the shipping to where BTI will recycle them, but that will reduce the savings or you can run them to a recycler. For me, I'll just get the APC and recycle from there.

There are a few Spicy Peppers that avoid me now because of my participation on here. Anyone else on Mangolassi experience this?
Really?
Yeah, definitely. I dont get messages from them anymore and/or they no longer joke with me.
Wow, that is pretty sad of them.

@Carnival-Boy It's on of my all time favorite recipes. Cooking it for the lady friend this weekend.
Sort of made it tonight:
only I'd never heard of broccoli rabe, so made it with broccoli. I've only just discovered broccoli rabe isn't broccoli at all. It was nice all the same!.
That looks good. Where can I find the recipe?

Same applies to anyone else, we can hit up Bad Decisions in the city for Bacon Happy Hour.
Always wanted to try that.

RE: Chopping off their own feet....
As to the SW/Mango thing, I'm personally just staying above all the shenanigans. SW is a lot more busy than Mango right now, so I tend to post more there than here. I do try to browse when I have time and contribute when I can. It is just so much more volume there right now and I'm sure Mango will get busier and busier as time moves forward.

Was trying to click on the one source. Something about Vampires. My Sonicwall hates Vampires.

RE: Sharepoint - how do you use it?
@Carnival-Boy
When I first started rolling out sites (again SMB level), I didn't let the site get out of control because rights were fairly restricted. I didn't allow personal sites and each sub-site was created only after discussion. It wasn't because I was power hungry. I just wanted to prevent the sprawl. It worked very well. Since you can roll out new things, whether it be a calendar, a new list, or even a sub-site, I don't feel this control process interferes with company needs or productivity. -
RE: Sharepoint - how do you use it?
@Dashrender
OneDrive is basically a fileshare. Sharepoint is that and a bag of chips.At my last full-time job, they had WSS 2.0, the original SharePoint which was crap and they really didn't use it well. So I made it a mission to learn it. Basically started with a test site. Main sections are pretty easy to setup. They are lists, document library, calendars, links, and announcements. Those you get out of the box. Before I built their site, I went around and talked with everyone. My background was process, so I wanted to know what they did and where their pain points were. Some things were obvious like a company contact list, a shared Company calendar, announcements, and a link list. From there I dabbled and learned about setting up workflows where necessary, web parts, and using SharePoint Designer. But, most of the sites I create you can use the built-in tools.
One big thing I did was find all of those word and excel list things that individual and departments use (and don't share by the way) and redo them with lists and whatnot in SharePoint. Setting up permissions is fairly easy too.
