It installs Office 2013 and all of the expected components. However when I log into my account it tells me that the correct product isn't installed. Wondering how everyone else has been auto-deploying this version of Office, or if you aren't and just doing the download feature from the portal.

I have not had a deployment of Office 365 yet. The clients that currently have 2013 went the OpenLicense route.

For my own office, it was just the download install for each user (5 of us) in their home office.

It was enabled, but wasn't logging. It may have been an issue with SELinux. I've since started over by reimaging the server. Further discussion is occurring here.

      Appreciate the input!

The only thing I've seen that makes sense is a comment on reddit saying that MITM certs like that are expected in China due to govt monitoring, so they didn't really think anything of it.

That might be the worst thing yet. This reads as "don't trust any products coming from China because they are culturally conditioned to be insecure."

You do seem to be using an awful lot of memory for a FreePBX install. You have way more than enough, but you are using more than you would expect.

Yep, which why I was concerned. I do have FOP2 running, but that doesn't seem to be using anything really, it seems to be using ~335MB, although since people are using it not sure if I should modify the apache settings as per your previous link.

      top.png

Here is my top output. It looks like the httpd processes are using a huge amount of memory, or rather it is claiming a huge amount it doesn't seem to be using a lot of it, if I understand the difference between virt and res correctly.

Even with FOP2 running, applying Scott's article should not cause any problems with FOP2.

While my St. Louis region voice pulse numbers all show McLeodUSA Telecommunication Services, Inc

Of note with this. Only the voice pulse lines have intermittent issues calling some numbers.

Been trying to find a problem. This may be the cause.

McLeod is a third string voice provider in the grand scheme of things, but they should have plenty of interconnects to the POTS network to route that call properly. Almost everyone in VoIP buys numbers from someone else. That's why Level3 showed up for your other lines. It keeps the VoIP provider in numbers across the country and keeps Level3 in easy money.

For your problem, gotta narrow it down. IntraLATA, InterLATA? Specific exchanges or specific numbers? SIP to SIP? SIP to POTS? Cross carriers? Or the ever so fun forward to external number that happens to be international.

Once 3D printing is cheap enough, it is really going to change a lot of things. Amazon will primarily deliver plastic and metal printer cartridges instead of finished products much of the time.

Reminds me of this guy at Spicecorp one time. He thought he was cock of the walk, talking about PCI compliance. He made a statement that wifi can NEVER be used per PCI compliance.

Like HIPAA, PCI compliance is a guideline, there is nothing verboten. Yes, wifi could be "hacked" but also leaving interfaces unsecured is also a violation.

Of course, I love the "cloud" hosts who claim they are HIPAA compliant.

What version of Outlook are they using?
Is Exchange on premise or hosted?

      Exchange Online via Office365

Try running Outlook (start --> run) with a few different context switches:
      outlook /rpcdiag
      outlook /resetfolders
      outlook /resetnavpane

I will look into doing this.

      Are they using cached mode?

      If yes, try disabling it.

      Will try this as well.

Have you tried deleting the entire local mail profile?

Control panel Also, the contents of C:\Users\ %username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook

I've deleted it from the control panel but not the contents of the AppData folder. I will try that too.

      Thanks

      What goes into your documentation

Two main questions for the community.

What do you put into your documentation? Saying everything is a bit unrealistic although that would be the ideal, there has to be a cut off point where you assume most IT people have that base knowledge and thus doesn't need to be recorded

How do you write your documentation? I mean more along the lines of format, a log, how-to, etc?

I'm having an issue of what do I write up, I don't think I've really done anything special so it is difficult for me to continue with documentation when everything seems to be fairly (very) straight forward. I generally do all my write ups as how-to's, which makes them easy to work with and easy to pass along to someone who may not have the same technical acumen as I do.

I keep a standard format and try not to re-document anything that can easily be found online. My documentation is pretty much an explanation of why I did things the way they are, with config info, logical maps, basic info that should help any IT pro that is around after I leave can look at and be up to speed fairly quickly. I review it quarterly too, make changes and updates as needed.

lol 40+ jobs - how long do you have to work a job for you to include it?

Several months at least, for me. Include things that are important, leave off ones that are not. I wish that I could include everything, jobs with the state and federal governments, an Indian nation, military contractor, large chemical plant, non-profits in DC, and others that are pretty interesting and help to round me out are not included. But I have to draw the line somewhere.

Yeah, well I haven't had THAT many jobs...

How about for building a system image that you intend to deploy later using SmartDeploy, etc.? We use VMWare Player to build and make edits to the image, and that is about all we do with type 2 hypervisors.
