thank you for the help, working the update now!

Ever since I updated my phone I will get random power offs, followed by the white apple on start up, followed by a blue grainy screen and then a power down again. This will cycle for anywhere between 1-5 minutes. I am sometimes able to do a hard shutdown but will still do the same thing. The only thing that can get me to the unlock screen is pressing the home button repeatedly and that works probably 20% off the tries.

Any Help?

@Reid-Cooper after the 4th try it took...will run with this and see if not to the apple store I go! Thanks for all the help!

@StrongBad won't take the update it powers down and then gives me an unknown error

Was this the recent update to iOS 10? There is a new 10.1 update that might be worth trying.

I think that you can push an update from iTunes even if the phone itself is not really working.

it was the 10..i will try the new 10.1

@art_of_shred I'm 9 months out of the 1 year warranty, is it something they will take care of or will they say out of luck?
