Which ones have you tried? What's your favorite?
I'm thinking about getting the Stout and Moscato for gifts.

I tried to get to the post but apparently it is no longer there.
I so wish this thread were still open, sounds like a hell of a read. That other place is so out of control with their moderation. Craziness.
Your original quote should still be valid... Not your fault they chose a different route that isn't working out.
@dustinb3403 That SW thread is absolute insanity. The OP's logic is tragically backwards. Just install the damn thing and try it..
@dustinb3403 Says there is a 30 day warranty and tested...

oh yeah, how do you know that?!?! you must own it!!!1!
Seriously though, there is absolutely nothing wrong with promoting a customer's business. Maybe a better way to put it would be "Hey, NTG has this really awesome new customer that does wordpress hosting, you should check them out"

This is what I'm thinking, too. If they do fail, RAID10 should still be safe... and I'll be backing up to my NAS anyway

The download doesn't want to work for me from the MangoCon Hotel.... It'll be a good year if this is the only failure here!
It may not be you or the hotel internet... I just started the download and it's going a whopping 20 KB/s

@scottalanmiller now I have to buy a fax machine and a POTS line...
You don't need a POTS line to get fax spam. Ours comes through our VOIP all the time

I haven't been on there in about a year either. I was getting the featured post emails, and I'd occasionally look at one, until I completely unsubscribed last week.

Marlboro will surely load it up with every toxic chemical known to mankind.
Ok, so 11 phones. you already have a server to host the PBX, you're nowhere near $3000 including a new switch with POE if that's what you really wanted to do

Good to know. Can you set up anonymous upload drops or does each user need an account?
Here are all the options. Yes, you can have anonymous uploads.
@luismc said in Port - How to go about setting up a client to be virtualized?:
They get 1TB in SharePoint and can upgrade (by paying), the item limit is 5k per library and 20k overall so I think they're okay.
Be careful here, cad part files can add up extremely quickly. I'm not in architecture, but our average job folder has 2k+ files. You'd burn through 20k files pretty quick if that's the case there too.
@guyinpv said in Looking for a self-hosted file share tool:
My biggest fear is self-hosting, I just don't want maintenance and support issues, I want things to be extremely robust, this is a twitchy company that tends to explode when our apps/services don't work right.
I believe you can pay for hosted service, with support, too, if you prefer.
Check multiple times throughout the day, I've never had to wait more than 2-3 days to get one. Also never had much luck with the notifications, seeing as I've never actually gotten one.
@guyinpv Just create a share with an admin account that will never be deleted, then you can create a group for all of your users, and add the group to the share as shown in the pic. The folder will automatically appear for every one in that group.
You can also use the normal link sharing rules with this, so every user shares the same link.

I find the WiFi and Bluetooth not turning off from the control panel (just disconnecting) irritating.
I have nothing that I want connected in the background AFTER I turn the $radio off.
I love this feature. If my home internet is slow I can disconnect with the push of a button, then when I get to work it automatically connects to the wifi there. I don't have to try to remember to turn it back on, it just connects.
I guess if you have a more advanced configuration, like VPN or something, this might be a nuisance. How hard would it really be for them to just give us the option of what the button does though?
