RE: Windows file server query
@vhinzsanchez said in Windows file server query:
I was, before, trying to group users based on their access but one of the boss wanted to check who has access to which folder/file and not interested in group--he wanted names--so I am left with retaining individual access (though made a group for share access).
Role-based access is the way to go. This site has a good example using role-based.

Granted, she won't be able to use/play with it for years so I'd have to store it. But at least if I plan it out and get everything ready to go.
Worse case she never uses it.
If you have a decent size backyard, building a playhouse for her would be a nice project.

RE: Can Roaming Profiles be a good idea?
@dbeato said in Can Roaming Profiles be a good idea?:
My advice is to not use roaming profiles and instead use Folder Redirection , they will be less trouble.
Manual Folder Redirection with Symbolic Links
I've actually been using folder redirection with symbolic links instead of changing any of the user shell folders paths. And with some adjustments, its been working great for users that are using Nextcloud. -

Submitted an issue on Github for Pi-Hole. Because pihole flush command and the flush log button doesn't work because sqlite is not installed when using the minimal install of Fedora.
The fixed will be available in the next release.

RE: Install Nginx as a Reverse Proxy on Fedora 27
@eddiejennings said in Install Nginx as a Reverse Proxy on Fedora 27:
If you're using one reverse proxy to serve traffic to more than one server, do you typically put all of the configurations in one file, or have a main configuration file, and use
include
to reference other files? Methinks the way to go is just have one file with server blocks for however many servers you need.Using separate config is more easier to manage.
