@tim_g said in Are People Just Not Buying Computers Anymore?:

Before, a family of 5 for example, had one computer in the house and that was all there was. And the cost of that computer was two to three thousand dollars. Back then, it was a LOT.

Now, there may be 2 laptops, a tablet, and 2 or 3 cellphones per household. All for less than the cost of that single PC back in the day.

That's how I see it and my experience.

For others, there may be a 8 year old laptop in a household and a few cell phones.

On top of that, gaming consoles are pretty common for the games nobody wants to play on a small screen.

One can setup a small desktop and turn that into a gaming system and have it right next to there TV nowadays.

@Donahue technically speaking, you could have the receptionist install this drive.

But do you trust that person?

      nope

      Awesome response.

Almost about to head to work but I was smart enough to log into Workday and found out its a holiday today.

Would've of been pretty sad arriving to work and I'm the only one there.

So did a new install on Fedora 27. Still didn't work, so I just installed it on Debian.

Why not permanently set SELinux to permissive instead of using Debian?

      Confirmed working on Permissive.

It always worked when set to permissive. I also preferred using permissive instead of disabling SELinux that way I can fix the errors later.

      Updating Nextcloud

I did that today, but had to use the command line method because the web updater complained that it didn't have write access to a bunch of non existent files in the /update subdirectory. Planning to do this in my home lab tonight and get it documented on the Nextcloud forums if I see the same thing.

The last few updates I've been sticking with CLI to update Nextcloud.
