Yes if you installed gnome, it probably installed gnome-boxes which is an application to manage vms so that's why it installed libvirt. After some further testing I am beginning to think that the problem didn't have anything to do with the vnic's, though. Yeah, probably nothing to do with the outage, hope you find the true problem.

@dafyre said in Sudoing a user in centOS: @scottalanmiller said in Sudoing a user in centOS: To use sudo on CentOS you... Add the appropriate users to the wheel group in /etc/group Uncomment the following line in /etc/sudoers %wheel ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL Does that allow the user to sudo without having to enter a password? Correct.

@Adaministrator said in ubuntu server shutdown "failed to finalize DM devices" device stays on: @scottalanmiller I couldn't find a way to mark the post as closed/ answered. Do I need to do anything to shut this one down? It's currently marked as a discussion rather than as a question. In theory you can use the Topic Tools and "Mark as Question". Once it is a question, then you can go to an individual post and mark that one as the answer OR you can use the Topic Tools again and just mark it generically answered.
