Who's paying for this?

Sounds cool. It's still very purple
-
Sorry guys the purple stays for now. With the newest update from Nodebb we are a little stuck for now on being able to change things.

We here at NTG were asked to come in as the technical consultants. GroveSocial is purely a social media company, and needed a Technical Firm to help them get off the ground. So not only have we gotten to help make decisions on the hosting and platform we have also had a chance to help them build this community up.
We are having lots of fun being in on something from the start.

Are there any new social communities on this platform yet?

@Dominica and I have our own travel blog and podcast site: Kidding Around Europe
We have a social community for that site (that no one is using yet) but we hope to get some traction. We'd love it if people were going there to discuss European Travel (especially travel with kids.) GroveSocial runs that site for us.

GroveSocial decided to release its ownership information today:
-
Also sharing a new community that GroveSocial is running on my and @dominica's behalf, the Kidding Around Europe Community. This is the travel with (and without) kids social community that is associated with our blog and podcast. Come check it out and participate, please!

I haven't updated this thread in awhile and another thread reminded me I should : DCH is a NTG customer that does business management services and when I was starting GS I had used them to handle logistics to get the company started. So in the very early months DCH was involved as a business partner but DCH hasn't been involved or an owner since original logistics were completed. Once I had GS fully set up everything was then moved to me directly. MangoLassi was literally started over night after a late night phone call.
The nature of SMB is that companies work together on projects all of the time. I couldn't get GS setup fast enough to support MangoLass so had to hire a company that could do it for me and help with all the crazy logistics FAST. Of course I was going to go with someone I knew. DCH was awesome to work with and did a lot to get me on my feet fast.

Things are good. Back in the US after several years ago. Busy doing new work with DCH that is Texas based so decided it was time to be located there for a while. So planning to be in the US for a couple of years at least. Kids are well and glad to be home for a while.
Staying busy. And in NY for MangoCon right now.
