Wife is making vegetarian BLTs for lunch right now. On my third cup of coffee.
Vegetarian BLT? What do you use for the B ??
Normally Morningstar Veggie Bacon, which even before I was a vegetarian I preferred to real bacon. But today we are testing out a new product called Benevolent Bacon that we have never tried before.

Regular burger and baked potato for us.
-
Honey BBQ Chicken veggie soup. It was really good. We make it in a crock pot, and it comes out too soupy for sandwiches... just add veggies and done!

Cool. I don't know many vegetarians (or is it vegan?) so I'm not overly aware of the options out there.

Never understood why a vegetarian wants something that looks like bacon or sausage...

Vegans don't eat anything made from an animal at all. No eggs, no milk, nothing. Vegetarians on the other hand often accept milk for example. There's no clear definition for that.

Most vegetarians are not vegetarians because they dislike the taste of the spices on meats, it's because they don't want meat whether for dietary, health or religious reasons. The things that I enjoy about bacon, for example, is the spices, not the meat. Veggie bacon lets you continue using recipes and stuff that other people use, but without the meat. I like bacon flavoured almonds, too. But it's not because it actually tastes like bacon, it's because they are smoked and spiced similarly. It's more that people conflate a certain taste with bacon that isn't actually bacon.

There WAS a clear definition. Vegetarian always meant dairy, eggs and even fish. That there is any ambiguity is purely a recent thing in the last decade or so.

Ok, but I think @dafyre got it somehow Some eat nothing from an animal, some just eat no meat, some are in between.
I don't mind, whatever makes you happy. We try to not eat meat a few days per week, but that's something you need to decide for yourself.

I'm a carnivore, lol. If it's food and placed in front of me, I'll try it at least once.
