Teamviewer is updating their security protocols as banks are now reporting breaches from users who use Teamviewer.

So is it "we weren't hacked, but we're improving security to shut people up now?"

I logged into my CloudFlare account this weekend from a new IP and received an email stating as much.

FB has been doing this for years.

Nice to see TV catch up! I wonder if they offer 2FA?

They do offer 2FA, but the reports were that it was also breached. Though there has been very little actual proof of that.

Yeah, That's hard to believe unless the 2FA system was compromised - i.e. more likely disabled.

I saw a few reports they were asking for compromised users to contact them, and it turned out no one actually had 2FA turned on as they said they did.

But I've been away from a screen for a few days, so we'll see what my searches today find me.

They have other security features as well.

There was a recent trojan going around that uses TeamViewer to do the dirty work. I wonder if that is what caused the issue.

But, no need to talk about that here since I've already discussed that in the other thread. (Which I have not seen any updates on.)
