@IRJ Which is why the blue option should be out. It doesn't solve that problem.

What about the hole you'd have to drill into the decking or concrete around the pool? I mean this fencing system likely does work, but IDK if I'd want to ruin my deck either.

Drilling into concrete is easy and easy to repair later.

For me, putting fence posts in grass is easier and easier to repair. We are talking 10-15 poles only. THe ground is flat and when you dig 3 feet, you hit water.

Blue does solve the problem if we keep a double sided deadbolt on the guest bathroom.

            @IRJ deadbolts are super cheap....

And it's the least destructive approach. . .

Yeah We will also need to screen that one side of the porch, since kids will push something up there and climb over.

@IRJ You could do a nice lattice fence on that one wall.

With a little flower garden type setup there.

Which direction (north south east west?) is that that is near that single door?

From a design point of view I'd go with a wood fence near it in the back year to enclouse it and match what is there.

A privacy fence is unneccessary though and more of a pain to install. I would go with aluminum (nice) or chain link (cheap).

The front of the house faces south so the pool would be on the east side.

The sun rises in the east so that wouldn't be a bad wall for a small flower pot setup with some nice lattice for the flowers to grow up...

If you put a counter-top flower bed on that one wall, near the single door, and put in some lattice with that for the flowers to grow up you have yourself a good solution that adds some color to the yard.

While stopping the kids from just pushing something up against the wall and climbing over

                          Pros and Cons

                          Pros

Blue - shortest run. No drilling in concrete

Red - medium run. Little effect on mowing

                          Green - Doesn't effect mowing

                          Cons

Blue - bathroom needs to remain locked and porch needs a partial scree

Red - Mix of concrete and grass

Green - Longest and probably most expensive run.
