Optiplex 7040 Windows 10 64bit Drivers don't seem to want to inject into the boot image, and without it it won't get a network connection to deploy. Anyone else had this issue?

That seems odd that you need drivers to boot from the NIC even before windows loads.

I've never seen that behavior before...

WinPE is windows... That's what PXE loads to deploy your windows WIM.

I use FOG to PXE boot (without WindowsPE).

So maybe it's something with WinPE that has the driver issue and not WDS?

Well yes, it's all integrated. You put the drivers in the WinPE image from WDS. Just for Network and Harddrives.

Do you need to use the Windows 10 drivers specifically? The WinPE environment it just for pulling the WIM down. Can you inject the Win7/8.1 drivers instead?

The deploy we use is windows 10 boot

The Deploy boot.wim is from a windows 10 wim.

I don't know enough about WDS, can you not use a Win7/Win8.1 deployment WIM?

What does Dell say about these drivers and PXE?
