I have a personal computer, tablet, cell phone, laptop and then work pc.

Tablet, cell phone don't count.
It's work laptop, work desktop, home laptop, home desktop and "desktop at in laws" or something like that that is more likely for most people.

They want it to extend to home. It's not as good as it sounds. I keep multiple homes with desktops in them, so I can use up five really quickly.

Those who can afford multiple homes can afford multiple licenses.This is way better than it used to be, a license for every desktop/laptop combo.

I will check. I installed it over the weekend on a new desktop and it said I was using 5 of 10.

Must allow 10. I have 6 detected installs and they are all on desktops or laptops.
