This stuff is getting more and more common. Probably not because behaviour is changing but because people's actions are being recorded now in ways that they never have been before.

More and more common not because it is recorded specifically, but because there are more things causing distracted driving.
She was posting on her phone and crossed the center median.

Things like this make me happy to know that Google and others are working on auto driving cars. I really can't wait for that to become a full blown reality.
Currently I find myself sometimes envious of people who take a train an hour each way to work. Granted I'd hate to have to get up that much earlier and get home that much later, but the ability to have time to read or listen to music or podcasts, etc... I would dig it!

We assume that. But they didn't state that that was the cause an effect. Probably true, but might not be.

Yes. Seriously who wants to waste their life doing the driving? I just want to get places safely and have time to do other things.

I was going to mention this article.... I love it!

You've seen it previously?

Yeah I dug through your blog last year, read two dozen or so articles you wrote. This was one of my favorites!
-
Thanks. I like that one a lot. The Titanic one is quite good too, I feel.
-
That doesn't sound familiar, link?

Dammit people, Facebook can wait. Selfies can wait. Putting on makeup with the visor down, can wait, looking down at your lap or turning around to find that chip you dropped in your back seat can wait.
Need to talk on the phone while in the car, get a cheap BT headset or a new car with integrated voice controls. Your selfie, and status update can wait.

And why do I have no sorrow for this lady?

What does that have to do with stupid people getting themselves killed?
Nothing, he was responding to my quest for a link to a previously mentioned article on the Titanic.

Dash asked for a link. We were discussing articles.
