That's right, I just got word. It's not quite the Lord of the Flies yet but getting close. It's true, the coffee machine is down and they don't know what to do. Amazon is attempting to get a backup coffee system into place but the SLA is more than 18 hours and things are getting desperate.
All operations have been shifted to other sites while HQ attempts triage operations using a legacy drip brewer.
Seems like an oversight to not have a second coffee dispenser with a redundant water line just in case.
Total lack of redundancy here. No failover. No backups. There is going to be a port mortem on Monday.
Now where'd that ******* coffee script go when it's needed?
-
So it's been going (only the 10 oz button works now) but today I filled the reservoir and tried to make a cup... instead it flooded my counter......
-
Where's the nearest coffee shop? Can you rent a barrister for the day until the outage is resolved?
-
Nearest coffee shop is like 30 minutes away...
-
I think I have a French press somewhere.....

As per my post in another thread, I am now packing and preparing to live out the rest of my days on the moon.

-
All is well french press to the rescue... But i had to heat water in the microwave and put grounds in the pot and push the thingy down.... I miss my keurig.
-
and here I was digging up what is left of snow to melt and filter through my socks... Hey,.. it's the best I can do on such short notice. The panic has been bad - Even I have been without coffee for the day.

Well since nobody else said it... did you try to reinstall java?

I heard it has to be two versions behind and specific point release or it won't work.

No that's the Mr. Coffee they couldn't find the right dll files to make it work.
-
Netscape? No, needs Mosaic.
Checked and unfortunately our hot spare is already in use in one of our other offices. -
We better break out pine then (damn I can't remember the other email client of that time, elm maybe?)
