My inbox had some great news this evening......

  • You know, I like IT. I like participating on forums. I like to help people and learn stuff. It's also allowed me some things that I normally wouldn't have been exposed to as well......

First some free software licenses to check things out, then some NFR stuff, then a few private betas, then bacon (lots of bacon btw, wife is annoyed 🙂 ) and now........

A freaking (good one too) server and possibly some software licenses to go with! And it couldn't have happened at a better time being that I'm starting to study for the MCSA 2012 R2 exams. I'll know for sure very soon, all I'm being asked to do is give a review. So keep an eye out for a very lengthy post in the future!

I can't contain my excitement right now.
    happy dance

  • That's awesome. Congrats.

  • WOOHOO! I'm published on VMware's blog. Sounds great!

  • It was Matt (ServerGuy) and Priscilla at HP. I guess my name got brought up by some folks and they both thought it was a good idea.

Just thought of this, I've been turning SW down for months on coming down to TX and for writing up a article (with the one exception for the Webinar I did with Symantec about virtualization), but HP is getting my first hardware review that I'm guessing is going to be on there for this particular line of servers.

  • @Bill-Kindle Awesome!

  • Very cool!

  • Congrats Bill!

Yeah, it was Matt that hooked me up with the MicroServer. He had mentioned licensing, but he emailed me a key. Not sure if that counts as a real license, but it activated with my ISO. Congrats because that is way cool.

  • @DenisKelley I've actually talked to Priscilla (which is an alias FYI for those on here) on the phone before about some printer things. She's awesome. If you ever talk to her, you'll realize she is a VERY hyper and EXTREMELY happy type of person. I think I could describe her but I'm not going to. Anyways, yea. LOL

  • Wha...? AJ is saying someone else is hyper...

    =:-o

  • @RoguePacket Compared to me most pale in comparison but yes, she's quite hyper.
