I am currently using Starwind in my Lab to provide shared storage for my MS-SQL Server Failover cluster. It works great!
Why are you not using application layer failover for your database?
Because that would require two SQL licenses (but that may actually be required anyway).
-
That link goes to an Office 365 login page. I don't use Office 365. Got a login we can use to get to the form?

I was assuming MySQL when I said that which has free Galera application level failover.

Took me to O365 too.
-
The form is probably not marked as publicly accessible.

Awesome! Thanks for extending this to ML users.
Now to find a lab to set this up in.
-
I wish I could take advantage of this... don't have enough rep. since i've only been here a couple of weeks.

@scottalanmiller @Dashrender @RojoLoco
Hey guys, just to make sure you have the right link to follow and claim your NFR license https://www.starwindsoftware.com/starwind-virtual-san-for-mangolassi-members
Please feel free to share it!
Thanks!

That one works!

So if a company created an account here on ML, and had 200 points or higher of reputation.
Then the license would belong to the company.
Am I understanding your intentions correctly.
Otherwise if an employee leaves the company, they have to take their license with them.
Or are businesses strictly barred from claiming this?
-
@ntg has an account
-
So does @Bundy-Associates
-
-
LOL
I registered.
-
@StarWind_Software why does the email you just sent me have a big string of Cyrillic characters in the subject line???? Trapped in the spam filter it got, and trapped there it shall stay. Wanna try again, maybe with one for N America region?
-
Aren't they from Norway? or is is Sweden?
-
Even better, it looks almost like an Out Of Office auto-reply... bi-lingual.
-
LOL it is an OOF. Maybe this post should have waited until that person was back in the office.

There are so many loose ends here... proofreading and testing are always a good idea.
