I'm early on but really enjoying it. I'm playing it so that I can hang out with the kids who are really into it. But so far, it is a good game. Not too serious, easy to pick up and put down. Engaging enough that I am having fun actually playing the game. And the graphics style just makes me happy to be looking at it for long periods of time.

The best part of it is that the gacha mechanic does not really matter to people who just want to play the game for the experience of the game itself.
When I get home I’ll send you a message with mine and my kids ID numbers
Hanna especially likes to play multiplayer with other people

Awesome, I'm trying to get my level up so that I can play online. The kids are already high enough.

The voice on that fairy though, lol. I've dabbled with it a tad, but haven't played too much yet.

So couple of months ago now, I got an Oculus Quest 2, and have been piddling about with it. I've found a couple of free games and a couple of paid ones that I enjoy.
I've started doing the Air Play so I can play SteamVR games without being tethered to my laptop. I'm actually surprised. I played SkyrimVR for nearly 2 hours last night and my headset still had 38% battery life left.
Gameplay was mostly okay. There were a few stutters, but nothing terrible. Laptop and Headset both connected by WiFi. I can't really tell a difference between tethered and Air Play as far as video quality and such. This is going to be so much fun, lol.

Yes, it was added today with the 2.0 update I believe. If notit was 6 weeks ago with the 1.6 update. I remember reading about it at some point.
I will also get to finally link my PS4 account to an email address and play on mobile when I cannot get to my PS4.

Genshin Impact is 100% a gacha game. But unlike many gacha games this one also has a great open world to explore with a ton of lore, quests, events, and more that do not require you to spend a penny.
It is the best JPRG style (it is not a Japanese game) game on the free to play landscape IMO.
For those not familiar with the gacha game style....
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gacha_gameLike all gacha games, it does have a top end that you will never see without spending thousands. But that top end is not required to enjoy all of the content that comes out. By top end, I mean getting a limited time available 5 star (gold/best) character 7 times to max it out. But you can easily get multiple limited time 5 star characters just by playing because the developers added a "pity system" that guarantees a 5 star every so many "wishes." You can earn enough rewards in game for a wish every 2.8 days from daily quests alone. But they is always an event running that has quest rewards of the in game currency also.

Really enjoying Diablo 3 season 24 with the Ethereal items. Lots of fun with those!

Since I can't get my modded Skyrim SE setup working via Proton on linux, I decided to finally check out Valheim. Very glad I did - enjoying the game quite a bit. I'm only 25 hours in, and despite being terrible at building and dying way too many times, I'm enjoying it quite a bit.
Also got The Forgotten City - was a huge fan of the Skyrim mod. Can't say too much about this one yet, as I've found myself playing quite a bit (too much?) of Valheim instead.
Maybe it's time to give Skyrim a rest after 10 years so that I can check out other games like these?

I've been playing through the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters. I'm about halfway through FInal Fantasy 4 (Already done 1-3). So far, I don't see any amazing differences, but the dialogs are a lot better written now.
The graphics are still pixelated, but done in such away as to look decent in 1080p.

I've been playing some Diablo 2 Resurrected in the evenings and so far it's been a lot of fun.
Is anyone else here playing it?

Finished "Nancy Drew and the Phantom of Venice" a few days ago with the kids.

Surprisingly similar in a lot of ways. Each video game is taken from one or two books. Sometimes super close, sometimes modified a bit. Some of the later games are updated a bit and try to modernize it with things like cell phones and computers that obviously didn't exist in the books.
