You're telling this group about a Lenovo after all of the stuff that's gone on recently by them?

I haven't followed it. Can you give me the tl;dr?

Lenovo has come to light last year as a known malware vendor installing spyware / networking hijacking code directly into drivers and putting additional software to allow them to push malware via the BIOS.
Literally the last vendor I would do business with. They are unethical and outright evil. If they weren't protected in China, I suspect that a lot of people would be facing serious criminal investigations.
Lenovo is one of the companies, after being caught TWICE this year in the worst IT industry malware finds ever (IMHO) leading the downfall of the Chinese markets.

Lenovo shrank by something like 50% in the last four months!

Lenovo was at the heart of Super Fish, adware that broke into your SSL connections your computer made with remote sites.
And they also sold consumer class devices with NIC drivers that had the same spying type crap inside them. A owner couldn't use a driver from the manufacture of the hardware (i.e. intel/broadcom) to have a 'clean' driver.
And now within the past two weeks, they have been seen to be using the BIOS to install software on their machines on a fresh clean install of Windows, and Lenovo changes out your files for ones they control to install software on your machine.

Some other Lenovo links...
Here is the one where we found a posting issue with ML that turns out to be the first finding (that we know of) of Superfish: http://mangolassi.it/topic/2761/new-lenovo-laptop-won-t-allow-posting-to-mango-lassi
And an issue that we had with them from SW where they were running a fake giveaway and only shipped a laptop after legal action was mentioned: http://mangolassi.it/topic/2721/lenovo-runs-scam-contest-at-spiceworld

It would be unethical to upvote ^^ that post and down voting it doesn't seem right either.

You mean at $1099 it doesn't have the newest, most powerful graphics card on the market? That's just upsetting. You'd think at that price it'd have Cannonlake, 128GB of RAM, and 17 PCIe SSDs in a Raid 0. What a scam.

Are there computers that don't outperform MacBook Pros? At one point I had my $150 Acer Chromebook side by side w/ my Force Touch Retina MBP and the Chromebook ran circles around it in terms of browsing speed.
