Also, not a single commercial module is required for any feature. Every single capabilty of Asterisk can be manually coded via config files.
Some of the commercial modules can be replicated this way. Some do things outside of asterisk and just send commands in such as FOP2.
It comes down to what you want to do yourself versus simplyay someone else to do for you.
I would highly recommend FOP2 as well. Great for basic troubleshooting and receptionists love it.

Did you enable it through the user?

what do you mean by FOP2
-
@IT-ADMIN http://www.fop2.com/
It is just an operators panel. But it can help you determine the call flow without having certain phones plugged in or going through the asterisk CLI.

when i want to edit a user in the administration , i can't find a webRTC setting
-
also i checked the module admin and i found that webRTC module is enabled

Considering the features of the Mitel Operator panel, I found FOP2 to be really wanting. That and the fact that is really looks old school to me. I found a different panel that could be used with FreePBX, but that was in the last days before I bailed on FreePBX for my install.

It's a popular add on application that adds a new interface to the PBX. We use it here.

FOP2 is not related to FOP. Two different products. FOP is the free built in one. FOP2 is a commercial add on.

I've updated my post to indicate FOP2, which is what I was/am talking about. It lacks the polish that the Mitel console has, as well as a lot of functionality.
That said, for what it is, and the cost (what a SUPER CHEAP?) it's pretty good. and it's great when you've come from having nothing. But when you've come from something like the Mitel console, there is a ton of heartache.

I believe that the FOP2 is $40.

Have you looked at iSymphony? A bit more complex and expensive then FOP2 but has a few more features.

Thanks, that's what I found. I didn't go anywhere with it.. as I mentioned I killed the FreePBX implementation before I could use iSymphony. Which by the way, at least on their website looks much more polished.
If it takes more money to get a better product, I'm totally fine with it. If the FOP2 guys need to charge $500 for an unlimited license instead of $40 so they could have either more dedicated time to it, or hire more people, I can't imagine that it wouldn't still sell like hotcakes.
-
You might be surprised. Or maybe I would be. But since the primary market for FOP2 is people who are implementing a free PBX, even if it is a great one that makes a lot of sense, the number of companies willing to pay $500 for a new operator interface might be low.

what do you think about trixbox ??

i just see something about it and it looks intersting
