I was recently called the "next Scobble"
Maybe that isn't a good thing.
I wouldn't say it's a bad thing. Scobble has alot of intresting things to say alot of the time. Sometimes people agree with him sometimes they don't.
This is one of those times I will call BS on his article.
Google Glass is not Virtual Boy.
I also thing that it is going to be great! Hopefully it's not too expensive when it comes out because I want a pair!

I do think the Google Glass has a lot of potential. It is very early technology, this is really a preview. But it isn't going to go away, it is just going to morph into better and better technology. In this early form it is very expensive and limited, but in two years it will be half the price and much more sleek. In five years it is going to be amazing.

So apparently google glass is available for everyone now (US)
The price should have been slashed really, apparently according to some reports I have read, Google are losing money with the pricing they are at the moment, yet another company in the UK state the parts are £47 ?
God knows.
I like the application, saw a video earlier with pilots using it, for their checklists. I thought that was amazing.
However, it is too expensive and too early. Plus you look a bit silly for a normal person.
I did like the application for the Fire Brigade, that was excellent. Building plans, how to cut open a car (weak points) and so on, that was brilliant.
I for sure, will not be buying it. I like the idea, but it's too early for me.

Parts don't reflect cost or all software would be free. The cost of making technology isn't in the materials.

Google glasses makes me think of Johnny Mnemonic. Glasses, then cell phone embedding, then of course lets get more memory in our heads!
Seriously, how will users with eyeglasses ever get to use Google Glass?

Google Glass has a prescription option.

Realistically I want a pair, when the price drops to a reasonable price of course. That said I personally started looking at it as goofy, something I'd never use, something I'd never need. Fast forward to just a month ago when I bought the Gear 2 Neo as a joke and realized... this thing is AWESOME. I use it... a LOT and I thought I was going to use it to check time and that's it. Made me think "well if I thought this was a joke and yet I'm using it non-stop... maybe the glass is much more awesome than I previously perceived it as".
I will have google glass, just not for $1,500.

At $300 it is a no brainer for me. At $500 it is a real consideration.

I think your price points are probably spot on (though personally I'd like to see them at $200 instead (unless they can have some cool frames!)

I would use them constantly. Recording the kids, recording my commute, places I go. I want to get a pair to use in conjunction with Kidding Around Europe.
