        Yup, they will use any excuse, even completely counter intuitive ones, to try to take freedoms away from the people they are supposed to be serving and protecting. They don't even pretend to be trying to act on behalf of the country or with rationality anymore.

            The nature of democracy. People don't think it through that much. The majority don't vote based on a knowledge or a care about the issues.
