This is really intimate. I like being able to talk to everyone a bit more than you can in Austin. But the sheer excitement and size in Austin is also awesome.
How many people are in attendance? Or did they not release those numbers?
I have not heard. but they easily announced. I was away for lunch at my London office.

It's a very small conference. but I like the intimate atmosphere. More like SpiceWorld Austin was back at the Alamo Drafthouse.
Yeah I've never been to spiceworld but it looks very small. I might would like the UK one better because of the small size.
SpiceWorld Austin was like 800 attendees. This, I would guess, is 200 - 300 but it is very hard to eyeball. Trying to gauge based on what that looked like at the drafthouse in the old days.

I've been to the Austin convention twice now (a third time this year). The first year, I attended, it was a bit of a cluster. Everything was laid out fairly haphazardly in my opinion. Last year they had listened to people and everything was much more organized. Really it wasn't that many people. Although I go to a gaming convention in Boston every year that is several times the size... so that may be why my perspective is off.

Oh wow. The conferences I've been to have been in the tens of thousands. Still I like smaller crowds.

It's tiny compared to other conferences that I sometimes attend (like Microsoft and Dell shows.) But it is very big for the SMB market. Being an SMB conference means that things are very different and having a large show is extremely hard. It is quite big for what it is (the biggest, in fact) but quite small as a conference goes.

We just heard from Mark Campbell located in Columbia, SC about the new Unitrends Free. Really interesting I can't wait to see how clients use this.

Keep an eye out for the bloke from Australia who won a ticket.
(obviously not me ) -

People really don't drink as long or as heavy here as they do in Austin. Go figure...

Today @scottalanmiller speaks. I will be there but pretty sure I will not be able to repeat a word of it to you. He is speaking on Understanding DevOps and how it is changing IT. Umm not my thing
-
Are they running the "design a mug" competition this year?

Yes they did and here it is (just picked it up).
