Store hours & sanitation
- We’re taking extra measures to ensure a clean and healthy environment in our stores. We’re dedicating associates in every store to sanitize high-traffic, high-touch areas, like registers and shopping carts.
- To better support our associates and serve you, we’ve adjusted our operating hours. As of Sunday, March 15, Walmart stores and Neighborhood Markets have reduced hours to help ensure associates are able to stock the products our customers are looking for and to sanitize the stores. As such, pickup & delivery hours for all stores will be shortened as well. Check the store finder on our site or app to verify your local store’s pickup & delivery hours.
No-contact pickup & delivery
- To help protect you and our associates during pickup, you may ask the associate to sign for the order on your behalf. This means you do not have to touch the associate’s keypad to accept your order.
- For delivery orders, drivers will practice social distancing when picking up your order at the store. The driver will stay in the car while the pickup associate loads the order into the driver’s vehicle.
- In addition, no-contact delivery to your home will be available next week. Through this option, you can authorize the driver to leave the order at your door, and you won’t need to sign on the driver’s phone to accept your order.
I would be doing that even without COVID-19.

Italy coronavirus deaths rise by record 475 in a day
The number of people dying from coronavirus in Italy has risen by 475 in one day to nearly 3,000 - the biggest increase since the outbreak.
There are a total of 35,713 confirmed cases in the country, with more than 4,000 having successfully recovered. Lombardy, the worst-hit region, recorded 319 deaths in one day. Italy is the world's worst affected country after China, where the virus originated last year. At least 8,758 people have died, most in China. The vast majority of the more than 200,000 confirmed cases - 80% - have occurred in Europe and the Western Pacific region, which includes much of Asia, the World Health Organization (WHO) says. -

Yeah, I'm not entirely sure how to take this... Many people "die from the flu" actually die from pneumonia, not the flu. But, I'm guessing they might never have gotten pneumonia had they not already been weakened by the flu... so which is really to blame?

Exactly. Sounds like the HIV/AIDS thing. HIV never kills you, it just makes you weak so that ANYTHING else kills you.

Yeah, I'm not entirely sure how to take this... Many people "die from the flu" actually die from pneumonia, not the flu. But, I'm guessing they might never have gotten pneumonia had they not already been weakened by the flu... so which is really to blame?

COVID-19 is severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). It can kill on its own as it is a respiratory illness. But for anyone without other health issues, those respiratory effects are typically not life threatening. Note, the "typically" thre, because like any illness, it can affect some in extreme ways.

@scottalanmiller Mississippi will be next. A lot of people here think it's a conspiracy to hurt Trump during the election or to take away freedoms, etc. People I would otherwise consider somewhat intellectual people. It's wild.
