That tweet had not hate speech at all. My goodness!
"go back where you came from" said to Americans is hate speech. There is no grey area there. It is a standard, well know hate speech phrase used to tell minorities that America is for whites only. It is one of the key examples of standard hate speech.
FINISH THE SENTENCE! "go back to where you came from" "AND THEN COME BACK!"
That is great and all, but still has the "go back where you came from" portion. That place being America. Adding "and then come back" changes nothing. It still includes the hate speech and implies that only white Americans belong here.

This is the exact tweet.
So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!
What country are they supposed to go back too? Three are born in the US citizens the other is naturalized.
So how is this not racist and specifically taking the color of their skin as the only deciding factor about "where they came from".
The president should go back to Loompaland, home of the Oompa Looma's because he's very clearly orange.

As for racism, those four need to look inwards. It is rampant.
. But no matter how racist they may be, that is neither here nor there.
Are you F'ing kidding me. You bash Trump out the ying yang and then bypass them??????? OMFG!
In what way did I bypass them? I did nothing of the sort. What are you on about? I simply said that if they did that, it would never excuse Trump or anyone else of being racist because of it.
" But no matter how racist they may be, that is neither here nor there."
I can't bold that statement enough. "that is neither here nor there" is a pass off statement. I am quite alright if you want to put all parties in that statement, but to lambaste one side and not the other is wrong, wrong, wrong.

It is not a pass, not sure how you could possibly interpret it as that. So lost as to what you think that means. You used them being racist as a softening on Trump's racism. I said nothing about them being or not being racist, only that one person's racism never excuses someone else's. But you took exception to that?

That's our America he's dissing there! Most corrupt and inept in the world he calls us!

I used the racist comment to not soften anything at all. I called it out because if you want to talk about hate speech (is a form of racism, especially within the context of this tweet), then one has to look at both sides.
I for one do not think Trump is a racist at all. I don't think he used hate speech in this tweet either. Just because one doesn't like hearing something doesn't mean it is hate speech.
If you want it to be hate speech, go ahead, I am fine but will agree to disagree. That is why it is GREAT to be an American! We both would be shot elsewhere.

I noticed you changed his quote to make it sound plausible. But that's not what he said. But, nice try. That you had to alter the quote to make it correct is the same as agreeing with us. If he had said something different than he did, no one is denying that it might have been correct. You clearly agree that what he actually said, the only thing anyone else has discussed was wrong, so we are of accord.

Omar is NOT from America
He said it about many people, not just one. That ONE is from Somalia can't fix the statement. Hence why I said the way that you changed the quote would have made it plausible. But as you changed it, changing what you knew what wrong, is what I meant... it's the same as announcing that you agreed. That what he actually said was wrong.

Is or is not Omar a ""Progressive" Democrat Congresswoman, ?"

You changed the plural to singular.

It wasn't intentional? It was the exact word that had to be changed to take it from 100% incorrect to "plausible" while still unacceptable.

Absolutely not. I don't do that.

I think your subconscious is messing with you. If you are focused on a single person, and not a broad sweep like he said, to try to make it plausible, then you are likely thinking singular in your head. You are focused on Omar because she did come from another country. But that's not who he attacked (or not only who he attacked.) And for the attack to be correct, has to be correct (that's how correct works.) "Close enough" doesn't apply.
So while it was wrong, you can see that likely your brain is thinking about how it applies to one person out of the group.
