I think youre all wrong. this investigation is just getting started.
No way Shitstain in Chief gets out of this. And yes, his friend was charged with Conspiracy against the US, not just tax evasion.

You're forgetting the most #1 rule of them all: The president/government officials/congressmen/police officers/etc can get away with literally anything they want. There might be a little misdirected backlash later, but the bottom line is they got away with whatever they did and are free to do it again, even when caught red handed. There is no actual punishment for those elite groups.

I'm curious to know why this (NYC) horrible, but much less sever, attack was a terrorist attack, but the far more severe attack in Las Vegas was not a terrorist attack?

The ignorance just completely amazes me, it's unreal.

There is no hard definition for terrorism that is commonly accepted.

But beyond that, the Las Vegas shooting has no known links to existing terrorist groups. This NYC incident apparently does.

In the U.S., terrorism has been defined since 2001 as revolving around known terrorist groups.

Finally, the definition of terrorism in most dictionaries does include this the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes.

Has there been an announced motivation for the Las Vegas shooting beyond mental illness?

Severity is not related to terrorism. Terrorism is about goals. Terrorism is about scaring other people outside of the attack, presumably to some end. It’s to enact terror. Just killing people to kill people, rather than to terrorize people, is awful but not terrorism. Terrorism is subjective, any act of terror is heroism to someone else. But just slaughter is simply slaughter.

As far as I know, there is no evidence of mental illness (or any motive really)... at least none beyond the fact that anyone who would follow through with any kind of terroristic or similar act like this isn't mentally ill in some form.

They're not only one out there that believes the protesting is hurting their business.
