I don't understand this. Unless they weren't making money on the units (which may be possible) they sold out of the initial run and the extended run in a few days of announcing each. This seems like you should just keep going until they are sitting on shelves.

Yeah, this is the same insane logic that I've seen grocery stores use.... we don't stock that super popular item because it sells out too quickly. WTF

Local Walmart used to carry a certain kind of non-spicy cheese dip from a major manufacturer that my wife loved. One day, they just quit carrying it. Went to all other walmarts and could not find it. Sold great, just cannot get it in Texas because Frito Lay decided to quit selling it in Texas.
