Learned that to the brits, row means an argument.

And to some folks in the south too. Admittedly, I don't hear it often, but often enough.

I read Scott's post and was like - uhhh What? Then I checked the article.. then oh yeah this is the BBC, so it's probably like the word pissed so I googled it to make sure. yup..

      OK all good now.

I read the article title as "Plane Diverted because of 2 idiots fighting over a blanket" lol.

I thought that it was pretty standard. I didn't put the term in, though, that was the BBC.

yeah I thought it was you, then looked at the article.. nope.. not Scott - seriously never heard row used that way.

I read the title like "Hawaiian Airlines plane diverted over Blanket Row (as if Blanket Row was some part of some city)" I was thinking - where the hell is Blanket Row, and why is it called that?

Seems like more likely it would be a row of seats replaced with blankets and they were fighting over who got to fly in the blanket forts vs. in the normal seats.

LOL - truly I did actually think that at first, but that was absurd and instantly dismissed.

I'd have a row to be in that row myself!

I have heard and used the term row in place of the word fight or argument all my life interchangeably.

Police said the man, 66, said he "would like to take someone behind the woodshed for this", which the pilot deemed threatening and then ordered the plane be diverted to Los Angeles.

One spoiled brat of a pilot, grow up already. Oh, wait, Merica doesn't do that, sorry, I keep forgetting.

So what's the point of headlights and tail lights if no one is driving it?
Oh, and stop pushing your tree-hugger crap on me. A garden in the car? Really? Disgusting. They could have put a cooler or more storage there.

Headlights to warn people that the car is coming. That way they don't step out in front of it in the darkness.

@art_of_shred Headlights and taillights are more important to make sure others see you, not so the driver can see. Seeing as a driver with no lights on is easy. Other people cant see you though which is bad

I guess my mind jumped ahead to a system where this was all of the vehicles, and not just an addition to the current ecosystem. If all cars are automated, and roads are set up for them, then some indicator lights make sense, but white lights in the front and red brake lights in the back are kind of unnecessary.
