      No, i have a Host that I need to copy a ton of data from. 400GB. I'm doing it over the network and only getting 4-5MBs, i was hoping to get @least usb 2.0 speeds

        Is the data in the VM? You could copy it like that. over USB. If it's something in the datastore itself I don't think you can. without using SCP (SSH) to the Host machine and connecting the USB passthrough there: http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/220577-copy-file-from-esxi-5x-datastore-to-external-usb

        Also note SSH is not running by default on ESXI you need to start the service to use SCP.

          Way Easier than that.

          select VM, go to inventory, add device, usb controller. then plug in the USB device, the add USB Device. only getting 3-4 MB a sec though.

                    What is the Host's specs? I'm guessing it doesn't have VT-D. Or no VMware Tools
