Improvement in Soft Skills
-
Can anyone suggest me how to improve in Soft Skills?

bottom line is practice. Having to do phone support for a year on QuickBooks really improved my soft skills. There's also lots of avenues for training, but nothing beats just getting out there and talking to people.

Along the same lines getting on here and "talking' will help with your written communication skills. I know that @Joyfano has used this community and Facebook to practice.

@Nic Same way I got mine, brutal practice. I'm not sure there is a shortcut to this.

I worked in fast food for a few years. That helped me It also sucked a lot.

Reminds me of one of my favorite jokes:
What's the difference between a diplomat and a lady?
When a lady says no, she means maybe. When she says maybe, she means yes. And if she says yes, she is no true lady.
When a diplomat says yes, he means maybe. When he says maybe, he means no. And if he says no, then he is no true diplomat.

Thanks Minion Queen, It's true, This community helps me a lot to improve my communication skills. I learned to use "English" in daily communication given that my native language is Filipino.

Retail has been good for me. I'm one of the best salesman Staples has in their retail stores. Period. However, the soft skills I'm working on are always dealing with co-workers. I'm ADHD, bi-polar and an Aspie. I have my work cut out for me... But with customers? I'm gold!
