So today is the first day that the City decided to tighten up their content filtering. No YouTube, streaming media service (video/music), etc. When I tell you not only the sheer volume of complaints I've received today and the TYPES of complaints it's absolutely ludicrous.

You were under the impression that government employees do actual work?

No, I wasn't. I didn't think people had the audacity to EXPECT that to be a part of their normal work day to a point where they would actually call us to request it. That's insanity.

Exactly what I would expect.

I doubt it. VoIP is done through another contractor and what they have here is ancient.

When we cut it off here, people complained to each other, but not to me or management. Then they all went out and bought smart phones - no I'm not kidding - they went out and bought smart phones so they could get on FB all day from their phone.

It was so bizarre!!

Absolutely starving but I can't leave for lunch because of the sheer volume of calls. This is what you get when you have 5 managers and 3 IT personnel. fml
