Just randomly pulling cables until someone screams is the best!

Pretty much what we did
had some pings going to the mill equipment. Pulled one cable out and checked what IP stopped

Then i labelled the cables up that i could

I have had similar rats nests here. If the switches are managed, you should be able to checkout the arp tables and match them up to the mac addresses of the equipment you have connected. Takes a little longer if you have the info and capabilities, but it is less disruptive.
