This is so true. But for me, zero family calls me, literally zero. And it is maybe one reminder a year. Normally for pest control. I don't have a single friend or family member that calls me on the house line, and just a couple friends that do on my cell.
Somehow I've avoided the political calls, though.

you still have a landline? Isn't that like having a physical server these days?

Far worse. Like having a Commodore 64 as your server these days.

I have a land line, but it's VoIP. VoIP over fiber, using an enterprise PBX hosted in the cloud. But it still comes over the land fiber line.
-
It is a land line, NOT a POTS land line.

just imagine what it will be like when we have to add a factor for off planet stuff. Yuck.
-
They will just use Earth time.
-
@scottalanmiller but you will have to factor in things like speed and distance. gravity and speed to weird things with time.

You just link to earth time as closely as can be calculated and keep them in sync. Only realistic option.

ISNTP -> Interstellar Network Time Protocol?

At what speed? Time is different depending on your speed through spacetime.

YOu missed it, we covered that

Putting the "UNIVERSE" in UTC.
