This is so true. But for me, zero family calls me, literally zero. And it is maybe one reminder a year. Normally for pest control. I don't have a single friend or family member that calls me on the house line, and just a couple friends that do on my cell.
Somehow I've avoided the political calls, though.

I have a land line, but it's VoIP. VoIP over fiber, using an enterprise PBX hosted in the cloud. But it still comes over the land fiber line.

You just link to earth time as closely as can be calculated and keep them in sync. Only realistic option.

At what speed? Time is different depending on your speed through spacetime.
