      I am looking for a free tool to convert a pdf to a docx Word Document.

        @IRJ I'm pretty sure Word 2013 can natively open PDFs.

            Assuming the information inside the PDF if text and not a picture, I normally just highlight everything and copy paste.

            This reverse process is one of the things PDF are meant to prevent. Though realistically they do a horrible job of it.

              Ah in that case.... I think there are some free ones online. They generally strip the text though. So you would get all of the "selectable" text in a huge chunk and everything else as attachments. So that may not be a very good option. Look at Zamzar I've used that in the past.

              I know Nitro Pro does this fairly well but that isn't free (although comparatively it is pretty close).

                Thanks for the input. I tried a few weeks for the free online ones. They either didn't work at all or they just converted to a docx with an image.

                I ended up just passing this along to a coworker with Adobe acrobat pro
