it appears to be a group feature. I haven't read the nodebb release notes. so no idea if it is new or only newly implemented by the mangolassi team.

There are a lot of bugs after the latest NodeBB update. That link should, in theory, take you to the mostly pointless Service Provider group. The purpose is really just to tag people who are service providers as such. If you look at the groups icon, that appeared with the latest update, it doesn't say the right thing either and has a bug in it.
