Cleaner Notifications

I just realized, without the upvoting capacity, the notifications system is far more useful now. A lot of background noise has been cleaned up. It is unfortunate that we are not able to use that currently to notify people when an individual post or thread is good or liked, but at least there is an ancillary benefit.

Now I feel obliged to reply to posts with +1 or -1 to show my appreciation (or lack there of) for a particular post.

If you want new development features, make them directly to the devs, not here. This is a site that runs on NodeBB, it isn't the site that makes NodeBB.

Nah - it didn't. I'm sure Scott just wanted your voice hear about the option, if you cared enough to post over there about it.

You know, I just realized that I consider the notifications to be a complete waste of time now. I only really used to to see who upvoted a post of mine, and to see which one they considered worthy.

I only use the inbox anymore, if the notifications is notifying me there is a new post, so does the inbox, but the notification flag isn't clearing when I visit the thread.

The thing that it does now is allow you to see who has mentioned you. @Dashrender

LOL - Personally at this point I'd like the option to just turn it off.

I agree, maybe there is a way. But that's not a priority at the moment
