Still Having Major Performance Issues

Starting to experience hang-ups again today. Yesterday was fine but today I'm having issues again. No clue why. It just started randomly again.

Yes. So your theory of it being a network...something, is probably accurate. Didn't have issues at home last night.

@TechieChick I think it's something with McAfee's network. They have some crazy network security protocols in place, so it could be a web filter hanging something, just as one possibility.

I've been able to access it from 3 different networks in 24 hours as well...I blame your work network!

Pretty sure it's not PEBKAC...or PICNIC...or ID10T...McAfee has some pretty intense filters and probably proxies in place.

Odd that you'd be getting restricted now if it worked earlier... I wonder if there's something in one of your posts that got cached that the filter doesn't like...

I hadn't thought of that but it's possible. It has happened, I think, twice today where it's kinda hung with a couple other odd little issues. It could also be a performance issue on the computer. It's a Core2 Duo and if I try to pull up RDP by going to the start menu and typing remote, it takes 10+ seconds sometimes to find it. Windows 8.1 Enterprise x64

No, they typically show up together.
Yes, but you usually ask for one after the other. Either wrongful moderation brings in PSX, which usually brings in moderation. Or PSX brings in moderation. You don't normally summon both at the same time!

Still having the occasional hiccup where it hangs but often a few times it'll hang and then finish posting the post or whatever. I would bet that somewhere, something is tripping some filter in effect and it's hanging, but what the pattern is I couldn't tell you. It's definitely not like it was since I cleared the cache, etc.

Trying something new because I've had a lot of issues with hanging today. I left my IP settings on DHCP but set my DNS to statically use Google for primary and secondary. I wonder if it's a resolution issue that is causing it to hang, due to some weird setting on my employer's end.
I changed it over and immediately the page refreshed correctly, so we'll see if that's the resolution. This is my test box, so I'm free to do what I want with it.
