AnduinOS is a Ubuntu-based distro built for users who prefer a Windows-like graphical interface without the extra system requirements.

Find out in our latest article by Vladan Seget, a virtualization expert, for StarWind what it offers, how it performs, and why it’s worth a try. Read more here: https://starwind.com/s/qq

@Oksana Does it make it arbitrarily slow and buggy too? Does it break updates constantly for an "authentic' Windows experience?

Linux is much lighter on RAM, CPU, and storage. Windows runs a lot of processes in the background, which chews up your resources. By contrast, the Linux kernel is lightweight and lightning-fast. AnduinOS leverages Debian's stability and Ubuntu's package ecosystem, using APT for system packages and Flatpak for graphical apps. This dual approach ensures access to a wide range of software while maintaining a sandboxed environment for security. Linux has a notable advantage in resource efficiency compared to Windows, and this has several implications: Low RAM Usage: Linux tends to use less RAM compared to Windows, making it suitable for systems with limited memory. Efficient memory management results in smoother multitasking and overall system responsiveness.
