Site has O365, user downloaded the client from their O365 web portal.

Word & Excel work fine. Outlook launches, but when you try to connect the email account there is an error.

macOS is fully up to date. User was just handed the laptop last week.

@DustinB3403 you still deal with a lot of Mac?

To follow this up with the resolution.

Apparently the prior admin went through ever single user manually and disabled all technologies that were not being used by that person.

All of these were unchecked, except for Outlook on the web and Mobile.

@JaredBusch not a lot at the moment, but I'm happy to take a look/help if possible.

@DustinB3403 I have not even hit google yet. Other things are a priority. Just was hoping someone here might have ran into something

I've had to use the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant to get Outlook connected a lot lately. Don't know if a version for MAC is available. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/resolve-outlook-for-windows-issues-with-automated-troubleshooting-tools-38e2342d-3527-4190-8754-a82d8b970fe2

We deal with this frequently, check the activation user for Office and also have you cleared the cache on Outlook or Created a new Outlook profile?

We see issues like this with Outlook 2016 for MAC on O365 when there a more than 10,000 items (not necessarily messages) in TOTAL for the profile.

There was nothing to clear. It was a brand new install. And the user logged in from office 365 account and click the download button from her account. So she is certainly licensed correct.

This won't be helpful - but UG local Outlook. When we migrate, I plan to ditch local Outlook as much as possible.

Had a similar issue with outlook 2016 recently.
Long story short, had to change the local DNS record for autodiscover.domain.org as it was still set to our old exchange server.
