Headsets for customer service using Yealink phones?
-
Which wireless headssets should I be looking at for customer service and tech support use?
It will be connected to Yealink T4x phones. Also under what circumstances is the EHS36 adapter used?
-
We use wired headsets over here at NTG, I just like not having to deal with batteries. I know that @CCWTech uses a BT headset on a T46S.
-
We use Plantronics Savi W730 with the Over-The-Ear setup.
-
While working with NTG, I had exceptional luck with the
Plantronicscorrection: Jabra wireless and hand set lifter.Yealink or Skype, worked really well.
-
We use the Plantronics CS540 and EHS36 adapter with T4x phones. Have had no issues at all with them.

You need the adapter if you don't want to buy a lifter.

I do not believe that any of the T4 series have built in bluetooth.
So if you want bluetooth, you will need to buy the Yealink BT40 dongle.

@Pete-S it is hard to go wrong with these units. they are rock solid. Sennheiser make comparable models.
I've no used any other brand of DECT based wireless headsets yet.

I'm trying out this headset, mine arrives today. It is BT, so you'll need the adapter JB mentioned.
One word of warning on these, the mic pivot point it's that robust, be semi-ginger with it, and once you set it, leave it alone.

WTF? That would be a hard no. The entire point of a hinged boom mic is to easily move it.

Same here, If giving the option, go wireless. Dealing with the cord is troublesome.
