Okay so I know that this can be done on RDS 2012 R2, I'm trying to figure out how the hell to do this on Server 2016 and newer. See below.

On the right, after logging into the RDWeb console, you're presented with the RDS Collection, and in this case a single .RDP file to download. In that RDP File I prepopulated the domain name so the user(s) never have to fill it in. This was done on Windows 2012 R2 - can't find out where I figured out how to do this.

The left hand is a new installation, but I can't figure out how to edit the RDP file to have the domain name, and the client would like to have it prepopulated.

Anyone know where/how to do this?

What happens when you open both RDP files in the text editor and see what is the property of the domain. I assume you can do the same for the 2016 as well.

I just now saw this, sorry. I'll have to download each and check. Give me a few.

Besides a comport setting difference (which isn't relevant) I can't see a difference.

The right hand side is the one that works.
