The copier in question: Model: Aficio MP 4002

      The Manual Page: http://support.ricoh.com/bb_v1oi/html/oi/rc2/model/mp42/mp42en.htm

This thing support SIP and H.323 apparently. I can find zero examples on successful configuration.

Has anyone ever got one of these setup? I ask because I have switched to using eFax.com for fax service at one client. They have 4 HP MFP 525 and this MP4002. The HP devices have it easy, you tell it "Internet Fax Service" and then enter the domain name "efaxsend.com" in this case. and you are done. The users still walk up and hit the fax button and still enter a 1 + NXXNXXXXXX fax number.

This Ricoh does not appear to do that. Obviously I can just tell them to push the email button and then enter an email address in the format [email protected] but that will most certainly end up with errors and support calls.

I haven't actually tried anything yet because the menu makes no sense. I will try a few things over the weekend or on Tuesday. But I am completely confused on how this thing even really works.

Interesting.. are the HP's actually doing SIP? or are they simply smart enough to know how to do the email thing based upon the email domain of the e-fax provider?

Is the vendor who sold you the Lanier not able to help you?
