yeah I'm looking forward to what my one user will see.
We have two Win7 and one Win XP (not counting any possible embedded systems - I know the Ultrasound machine is Windows underneath, but don't recall what version) still running here - soon to be one and one. Both needed for legacy EHR stuff, they'll be moving to a non-internet accessible network leg shortly.

We have one that forced an update this morning and now isn't coming up. That's going to be fun.

What do you mean? A forced system update.

@scottalanmiller oh good, the conspiracy theorist in me wonders if that patch intentionally makes the non-10 MS OS fall over
-
@Dashrender so much PC driven medical equipment out there will be affected, not to mention the EHR systems that get, at best, medical compliance patching and are stuck on older non-10 MS OS'es

The shit thing is that most have no way of knowing if the device is running Win7 embedded or not.

That was something that crossed a lot of peoples' minds. But they did not call back, so it looks like it moved forward eventually on its own.

But they SHOULD have a way to know if their vendor is providing HIPAA required updates! If they don't, they can't deploy it.
