      Latest WP patch is out. Make sure to update as WP is always a hot hacking target.

        This happened last weekend. At least the version I installed last weekend was 3.9.2 when I was writing my script for the other thread.

          I updated within an hour of when I saw the update was released. I think I did it via the WP-CLI.

          From an elevated CLI, I ran:

          wp core update --allow-root

          For some reason, the Wordpress CLI doesn't let you run anything in root mode, even if the commands needs root privileges, without appending --allow-root to each command. Kind of a pain...

              i just did a backup using backupbuddy and ran the update through the console. easy peasy.

                I just use the console too. Few clicks and you are done.

                  Yup. Backup, Update, go back to sleep. that's my process.
