I've got a Vtiger install which works great. I also have the customer portal installed and it's correctly linked to the crm side. It looks to be fine. The problem is. When I create a new contact in vtiger and give them portal access (and service dates are correct) it sends an email to me saying the user was created and that an email was sent to the user with login details. The contact (a test contact using another email account at this point) never gets the email. I have check in the sent box as well of the smtp account and there is nothing there for that. forgot password doesn't work from the customer portal side (or at least it's not sending an email). I have noticed that the email address shows a - in front of it (no mater which email I use) when it sends the email to me for example it will say user details were emailed to: [email protected] the dash is not in the record in vtiger nor the sql db. So I don't think that's relvent but I figured I'd put it in case. I'm running the vtigercron.php manually right now just to check it and it's still doing nothing as far as sending access to the customer portal.

So if I get the password out of the SQL db I can login to the portal fine. Other emails send. The cron job is running fine. Just no forgot password emails from the customer portal nor are any new customer details login emails sending.

Are you running on Linux? If so, what distro?

Oh, so no way to test email functionality directly?
