      Is there a good way to do this both for current tickets and keep the history of tickets?

        Can you import an Excel spread sheet? You can pull tickets out via a spreadsheet from Spiceworks.

                        It's a pretty serious ticketing system. Very stable, a bit complex. More like what you find outside of the SMB.
