A couple of times a year, I produce and sell CD recordings for some school band events. This is the workflow for how transactions happen onsite.

      1. Customer completes paper order form (2-part, they keep the yellow copy)
      2. Customer pays for the recording (Paypal Here for credit card payments)
      3. I do data entry into Paypal's multi-order shipping tool to create labels for shipping the recordings based on the information entered on the paper order form.

I'm looking to covert step 1 into a digital form. Doing so will eliminate me having to interpret customer handwriting.

One scenario I'm imagining is had I'd my iPad setup on a stand at my table, and customers would enter their order information on some application. Afterward I'd be able to export that information into a csv file, which I could potentially import into Paypal's Multi-Order shipping.

Gocanvas.com looks interesting for what I'm trying to do.

        Would Google Forms work?

Possibly. I'll admit I haven't played with Google Forms. I'll give them a look.

Wufoo is another similar one... and FormStack is one that we are using at work now.

Do you have a card swiper / chip reader so you can process payments directly?

Yes. I've been using PayPal Here for a few years with great success. I'm just looking to improve the process of collecting of order information.

Wouldn't it be better to have the customer enter their info with their own phones instead of using your ipad? I assume you get the orders at the same time more or less.

Possibly. And yes, orders and payment happen at the same time. At these events orders are about 60% credit and 40% cash transactions.
